Crafty Secrets National Scrapbook Day Blog Hop Photo Challenge and 50
Crafty Secrets National Scrapbook Day Blog Hop Photo Challenge and 50.00 gift certificate give away. All you have to do is leave a comment to this post and you could win. I will be drawing a name on Tuesday and one lucky winner will get to go shopping.
There are a number of other girls who are also hosting give always. As with all our challenges or blog hops, each design team member and our guest Dt member create amazing projects based on this theme. Today we are featuring projects and layouts using photos. I have these family photos I have wanted to scrapbook. I love vintage and sepia photos add that nostalgic feel. Crafty Secrets now has a beautiful assortment of vintage bling. I have to say I love the new bling so elegant.
Crafty Secrets
Earthy paper pad
Vintage postcard kit family
Vintage Bling
Vickis landscape shadow box.
My dad took these great family photos. I have learned getting all of us to smile and act right for a photo is just not going to happen. I have started to embrace and cherish the real life moments captured when you just let life happen. My dad sat there forever the kids were not behaving so we distracted them with the ducks. My dad just sat and waited and when we were not even concerned about the family photos he started shooting us just having fun as a family. This is my family and here are some real life everyday moments of our lives.
I kept the layout simple so the pictures would take center stage. I ran the front of the frame through my cuttlebug to add more visual interest.
I hope you enjoy this project and make sure to visit all of the other blogs. Happy national scrapbook day be creative and enjoy your day.
Have a scrappy one
Michelle

Wow Michelle! I love how you used Vicki's shadowbox on the LO. I'm going to scraplift that idea and use it for a vintage LO of my grandmother. Thanks for your inspiration. Beautiful family (and great dad for having the patience to take the great photos).

What a beautiful and creative lay-out!! I love the shadow-box frame highlighting your photos. Your Dad is also very talented (and wise!). I have resigned myself to the fact that the silly, goofy-looking smiles I get for photos (not exactly genuine, but good-faith tries) are just documenting their lives *right now*! 8-year olds and cheesy grins - that's life! :) Thanks for sharing!
