The talented ladies over at Crafty Secrets have done it again. This challenge was a spring theme. I have wanted to create a door hanger and this was the first challenge for this project. I used the wooden board book and painted with a mint green and pink. I than stamped with clear embossing powder heated and white washed the flourishes on the frame. The first picture is the final design. I used the vintage postcards Best Buds Vintage Postcard Kit for the center girl added vintage gold distress stickles to her cape and gold liquid pearls around the outside of the frame and wall hanging. For a little realistic touch I used sprigs of real flowers. I made her bouquet with a small piece of ribbon and added an extra little embellishment on the bag.
I layered flowers up the side so I could add a little more of a homey and inviting feel as she will be hanging on my front door. I think I might make her a frame to nestle in.
The word spring and the small heart also from the vintage postcard set were coated with glossy accents. This is also a close up of her cute little bouquet of flowers.
I hope you enjoyed my project and make sure to check out all the girls amazing designs. I am off to checkout their amazing creations right now.
I have so much to talk about but I must get this posted so I will have to just keep adding to my post. The super big secret I have been keeping and why I have been MIA will be revealed in a huge way On April 1st. Please come back and see what all the fuss is about. I am leaving for Australia on April 12th. I am teaching at the Printblocks event for Provocraft. Here is a picture of the layout class I am teaching for this event. My classes are sold out so I will be hanging out with 90 store owners teaching them how to use the Gypsy.
