Our talented DT leader Vicki Chrisman came up with a fantastic idea for two 3D Shadow Box Cards and Crafty Secrets has teamed up with AccuCut to release both of Vicki’s dies at the upcoming CHA Show! Each of the dies is designed to work great with Crafty Secrets new Altered Fairy Scraps and today is our Design Team Preview to show you these versatile and creative cards!
I created two projects for this reveal both using the fairy scraps. I love the fairy scraps they are so fun to play with. My first project is a shaker box card. the little flowers inside the box move around once the card is open. The cupcake spinned at first but it would not straighten back out and drove me crazy. I cut the two outer edges in half so they would meet in the middle to be tied.
The second project lets just say was a labor of love. I designed this cute fairy outfit for my daughter last year and took these great pictures. i decided to actually use to shadow boxes. The first one has the altered fairy images and the background clear insert. the clear insert was stamped and colored with copic. Than I cut another piece the same size and sandwich them together. the second piece I sprayed with adhesive and covered in sugar coated glitter. I added the fairy scrapes and a stamped image. The outer edge is lined in rhinestone lace.

The inside the of the project was creating using another portrait shadow box card.
I hope you enjoyed these projects and make sure to check out the other amazing designers projects.
Available in a Portrait or Landscape style, each card has a center shadow box style ‘stage’ to showcase a multitude of creative themes and styles. You cam create photos keepsakes, 3D cards, shaker boxes, altered art and dioramas! Both dies will be available from AccuCut and discounted 25% off for orders placed at the CHA Show. Crafty Secrets will also be selling Kits, with or without the Fairy Scraps included.

The idea for this exhibition actually came from an architect and a fashion designer. The Amsterdam–based fashion label Ontfront by Liza Koifman and Tomas Overtoom was in touch with architect Wouter Valkeneir since they were working on a project together. At the time the architect was doing a project for a coffee bar and needed somebody who could do the textile part and the staff uniforms and that’s where Ontfront came in. After they met and realised they had similar ways about conceptual design and really got it off, they regretted the fashion designers only parsdfticipated in the project when the architectural design was finished and thought it would have been interesting to see what would have happened if both an architect and a fashion designer would have been given a brief and would have been asked to work together. So they got in touch with ARCAM and submitted us their idea.

En el momento en que el arquitecto estaba haciendo un proyecto para un bar-cafetería y necesitaba a alguien que pudiera hacer la parte textil y los uniformes del personal y ahí es donde entró Ontfront
